I am excited and hopeful for the remaining time with these great kiddos! ** Please look at and keep all papers inside orange envelope! Sign the front and return. IMPORTANT UPDATES: SPELLING: 1) We will now have two nights of spelling homework! On Monday students will be able to choose ONE activity from the spelling menu. This is found on the back of the homework sheet. On Tuesday, students will write the words two times each- just as usual. 2) We are now counting off for letters that are written as capitals on spelling tests and for letters that are facing the wrong direction. Please make sure to instill in your child to check their letters and words! :) (I will give many reminders) 3) Starting this week I will dictate a sentence using two spelling words for the students to write on the test. I will be looking for the spelling words written correctly, sight words, sentences beginning with a capital, and ending with a punctuation mark. We will practice many times in class this week. **An example might be "I saw a stone by the mole." AR: Please have your child read two books a week to take AR quizzes! The new goal list and AR slips were sent home today. The class goal is 4 points and the honors goal is 8 points for the 3rd nine weeks. Reading rocks!
